Building a Brighter Future
Family Supportive Housing, Inc. (FSH) has initiated a $5 million dollar capital campaign to ensure the $16 million dollar project to build a new San Jose Family Shelter becomes a reality.
The City has approved the building of a 35,000 square-foot, 36-unit facility on one-half acre of land located in a new residential area. In partnership with Charities Housing acting as Project Manager(see their projects), the final hurdles to getting blueprints approved and the builder chosen are being cleared. December 18, 2007, the San Jose City Council approved the PD Zoning for the new Transit Village, of which the new Shelter is a pivotal element.
We invite you to read more about the Case for Support and FAQs. In November 2007 Mayor Reed publicly advocated for the new San Jose Family Shelter. And, why former mayor, Susan Hammer, is our Honorary Chair.
We are proud of our Steering Committee and FSH Board as well.
